What we Do!

We believe that we can save more lives with you

Protection (GBV & CP)

At HERO (Health Education & Relief Organization), protecting the rights, safety, and dignity of women, girls, and children is one of our top priorities. Our Protection Program focuses on Gender-Based Violence (GBV) prevention and Child Protection (CP) response, addressing the deep-rooted challenges faced by vulnerable populations across South Sudan.

WASH

For many families, clean water means more than just health — it represents hope, safety, and opportunity. HERO is committed to ensuring that no child has to walk long distances or risk their health to fetch water.

Health Care

HERO works closely with community leaders, health authorities, and partners to deliver essential health services that address both emergency and long-term needs — ensuring that no one is left behind.

Education

Conflict, displacement, and poverty have left many children out of school. HERO’s education initiatives focus on rebuilding hope through learning — creating safe spaces where children can grow, learn, and dream of a better future.

Food security and livelihood (FSL)

At HERO (Health Education & Relief Organization), our Food Security and Livelihood (FSL) program aims to reduce hunger, strengthen resilience, and promote self-reliance among vulnerable communities affected by conflict, displacement, and climate change in South Sudan.

Nutrition

By integrating nutrition with other health and food security programs, HERO aims to provide a holistic approach to improving the well-being of the populations it serves.
